There were some excellent departmental performances, including Art with 88.1% of students gaining A*-C grades, Food Technology (68%), Child Development (67.3%), Mathematics (54.96%) and English (58.8%) and Science (55.7%).

53.4% of all GCSE grades were at A* - C.

We are delighted with these results. Our congratulations go to students and staff for all their hard work.

Each year I am disappointed when the achievements of young people across the country are denigrated by politicians and the media who maintain that standards are falling. This is patently untrue and students and staff are more focused than they have ever been on achieving the highest possible results.
