Charity Fashion Show 2009
Student Models Set to Strut Their Stuff for Local Charity!
Cannock Chase High School has been on the hunt for would-be models to take part in a charity fashion show, set for 5th March 2009. Read on for more information, including how to buy event tickets.
Children across the year groups with a flare for fashion and a head for strutting their stuff are being urged to audition for their place in the schools very own charity catwalk fashion show. The school has paired up with The Newlife Foundation charity in Cannock and are hoping to raise funds and awareness, as well as give Year 13 students of Travel and Tourism the challenge to organise and run the whole event.
After a gruelling week of auditions 40 pupils were chosen from all the year groups, aged 11 to 18, these 'model' pupils were chosen for their confidence and enthusiasm for representing the school and supporting the charity. On the special evening, set for Thursday 5th March 2009, The Newlife Foundation will be providing the fashion wear for the models to show off to what is hoped will be a sell out crowd of parents, friends and the community.
The theme of this special show is 'Out on a date!' and will look at fashion ideas for his and hers first cinema date to the ultimate romantic prom date. The school is currently looking for raffle prizes for the evening with all monies going to The Newlife foundation.
Tickets are now on sale for £3.50. Please contact Andrea Adams, the school's Community Education Officer, on 01543 502450 ext 215 for more details.
