Parent Teacher Association
The PTA is a group of enthusiastic parents and teachers who give up their own time to help the school in various ways. Different events are organised each term to enable everyone to have fun, get involved and help each other. We raise considerable extra funds for the school.
Who can join the PTA? The PTA is open to all parents and staff at the school. A committee is elected each year to carry out the running of the PTA. You are welcome to attend PTA meetings. You don't have to be on the Committee. The meetings are advertised in the reception areas at school.
What type of help does it involve? The PTA help organise a range of events and activities and help out in school at school events. You can help in many different ways by:
- attending PTA meetings and being part of the decision making process
- offering time to help and arrange or organise an event
- supporting others in arranging events
- supporting members on the nights of organised events by serving drinks, food, selling raffle tickets or just by helping to clear up at the end of the event
- serving refreshments at official school events such as Awards Evening, Parents' Evenings, Options Evening or school productions
