CCHS is an 11-19 state-funded comprehensive school with Academy status, which was awarded to the school in 2011 in recognition of our continuing success in improving standards. We are one of the highest achieving schools in the area.
We have 1,350 students on roll, with 200 in the Sixth Form. Our academy status enables us to work closely with our partner primary schools, other secondary schools, colleges and local businesses, enabling us to continue to improve standards of achievement across Cannock and surrounding areas. Our Sixth Form Open Evening is on Thurs 6th Dec 2012. Our Y6 Open Evening has passed, but you are welcome to visit the school at any time: please telephone reception to arrange this.
Our results in 2012 place us in the top 5% of similar schools nationally, above the national average for all schools. In 2012 99% of our students in year 11 achieved 5 GCSEs, with 60% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. 37% of our students achieved the top grades at A Level (A*/A/B) with 71% achieving at least a grade C. 25% of our year 13 students won places at some of the top Russell Group universities.
